HOW LONG WILL MY INVISALIGN® TREATMENT TAKE?

CAN I EAT AND DRINK WITH INVISALIGN®?
Yes! You can remove your aligners to eat, drink and brush your teeth without any problems, which makes it much easier to keep up with your usual oral hygiene routine. Make sure to brush your teeth and rinse your aligners before putting them back in.
WILL INVISALIGN® BE PAINFUL?
In general, Invisalign® is not particularly painful. You may experience some mild discomfort for the first few days of wearing each new set of aligners, but this usually passes quickly. Your teeth may also feel sore for a few days as they adjust to the new aligners, but this should not be intense or long-lasting. If you are experiencing pain, talk to your orthodontist about ways to minimize discomfort.
DO I NEED TO WEAR MY INVISALIGN® ALIGNERS ALL THE TIME?
It’s important to wear your aligners for the recommended 22 hours per day as much as possible. If the aligners aren’t worn consistently enough, they will not do their job properly and treatment can take much longer than initially expected.
CAN I SMOKE WHILE WEARING INVISALIGN®?
We do not recommend smoking while wearing Invisalign® aligners, as the heat and chemicals from the smoke can damage them and increase your risk of gum disease. If you must smoke, make sure to remove your aligners first and brush your teeth afterwards. Additionally, it’s important to avoid beverages and substances that will stain your aligners, such as coffee, tea and red wine.
